Scotland-based The GlenDronach Distillery has introduced GlenDronach Aged 50 Years on a limited basis. This is the oldest and rarest whisky of the distillery till date. 198 bottles of this ultra-premium whisky, which was distilled in 1971, will be retailed at 27,238 USD for each bottle.

Each hand-numbered bottle of the whisky can be purchased from select specialist retailers across the globe.

The classy whisky is bottled at 43 percent ABV and it is the product of maturation in Pedro Ximénez and oloroso Sherry casks from the Spanish bodegas of Jerez in Andalucía, and then being married in a single Pedro Ximénez cask.

The liquid exudes aromas of dark cherry and plum with a plume of tobacco on the nose. On the palate, the liquid comes with flavours of dark chocolate, black cherry and espresso.

GlenDronach Aged 50 Years comes in a leather case and is packaged with a leather booklet which narrates the distillery’s history and craft.
