Beam Suntory has announced the launch of the latest limited-edition collaborative bottling from Bowmore and Aston Martin.

Bowmore ARC-52 (42.3 percent ABV) is a 52-year-old Islay single malt Scotch whisky, which was produced using whisky matured in a European Sherry butt and an ex-Bourbon American oak hogshead.

This latest release is said to be the pinnacle of the partnership between the two brands, bringing together one of the oldest whiskies released by the distillery with a truly inspiring and futuristic decanter designed by the luxury car maker.

The design of the decanter which contains some of Bowmore’s oldest whisky to be released, merges natural and man-made contours in a provocative form, effectively balancing on two points.

Bowmore ARC-52 is said to deliver notes of vanilla, custard cream, peach, pear, kumquat, mandarin, guava, fresh mint and eucalyptus on the nose, followed by notes of green grapes, peach melba, clementine, lime zest, almonds, hazelnuts and tobacco leaves on the palate.

Bowmore ARC-52 will be available in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, USA, Canada, China, Singapore and Global Travel Retail for $75,000 (ex VAT/duty) from late summer 2022.
