Sweden’s Mackmyra Distillery has released limited edition Moment Virvelvind Single Malt; which marks the final bottling in Mackmyra’s Moments series.
Moments series is a collection of experimental and luxurious single malts. This final whisky takes inspiration from the very first in the series, the Mackmyra Medvind.
Mackmyra Distillery is said to be Sweden’s first single malt distillery established by a group of eight friends in 1999.
New single malt features unpeated and peated whisky matured in ex-bourbon barrels, plus whisky matured in both ex-Oloroso sherry and Swedish oak casks. These casks were all matured in the distillery’s Bodås Mine, a unique underground cavern. A limited 2,049 bottles of new single malt have been released for selected markets
The liquid is bottled at 46.8 percent ABV and it is available in specialist whisky retailers in selected world markets including Germany, Sweden, and the UK at the cost of £105.50 per bottle.
