More Microbreweries in Delhi

Delhi’s pub scene is all set to become more happening with the excise department awarding a licence for a microbrewery in Saket. Four more applications for microbreweries are under consideration. Once operational, they will be operational from 11 am to 1 pm or till the time the restaurant, hotel or airport is allowed to serve liquor in Delhi.

The old excise policy of Delhi, which has been operational from 1^st September, allows the setting up of microbreweries in Delhi. Presently, the capital has two operational microbreweries in Connaught Place. Nine months have passed since Delhi’s excise department has awarded licence to open a microbrewery.

Microbreweries offer craft beer or locally made beer on tap, and the alcohol content of craft beer should not increase beyond 8 percent.
