ED files chargesheet in Delhi liquor policy case

The Enforcement Directorate has filed a chargesheet in the Delhi liquor policy case before a special judge at Rouse Avenue district court.

Enforcement Directorate has named AAP’s Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, Telangana CM’s daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha named in ED chargesheet in liquor policy case.

Chargesheet alleged that Kavitha was part of the group which paid Rs 100 crore in kickbacks to Aam Aadmi Party leaders in exchange for undue benefits under the now-scrapped Delhi excise policy.

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s name also appeared in the chargesheet through a statement of businessman Dinesh Arora who told ED that he initially met AAP leader Sanjay Singh, through whom he met Manish Sisodia during a party at a restaurant. He spoke to many restaurant owners on request of Mr Singh and arranged cheques amounting to Rs 82 lakh for collection of AAP’s fund for upcoming assembly elections in Delhi.
