Bootleg Volume IV emerges from the Heaven’s Door

Heaven’s Door, a whisky brand co-founded by the iconic singer and songwriter Bob Dylan, has released an 11-year-old wheated Bourbon finished in Islay whisky casks. With this launch Heaven’s Door expanded its Bootleg Series.

The whisky, named Bootleg Series Volume IV, is bottled at 55.5 percent ABV and comes packed in a leather case. Handmade ceramic bottles which hold the liquid, features an oil painting by Dylan titled Lighthouse in Maine (2017). The painting shows the travels of the great singer-songwriter across the US through backstreets, alleyways and country roads.

The Bourbon is the product of spending almost a year in seasoned Scotch casks from Islay, which has endowed it with peat notes. The alcoholic beverage exudes a nose of toasted marshmallow, sandalwood, sugar plums, marzipan and creamed corn. The palate reflects hints of ‘winter campfire, mesquite barbecue, leather, piped tobacco, cedar and bone marrow’.

The whiskey is priced at 499.99 USD and can be bought from the Heaven’s Door website and select retailers in the US.
