A senior bureaucrat arrested in connection with Chhattisgarh liquor scam

The Enforcement Directorate has arrested Arun Tripathi, Special Secretary in the Excise Department of Chhattisgarh, in connection with the Rs.2000 crore Chhattisgarh liquor scam.

The ED claimed that Arun Tripathi was part of the liquor syndicate and had changed excise policy at the insistence of Anwar Dhebar, the main accused in the scam.
