A collaboration for skilled manpower in hospitality

The National Restaurant Association of India (NRAI) has announced its recent collaboration with Maharashtra State Skills University (MSSU) to address the growing need for skilled manpower in the hospitality industry by creating a restaurant focused education program in Maharashtra.

The primary idea of this collaboration is to create a steady pipeline of trained professionals into the hospitality industry, which is expected to be a great boost to the overall employment generation in the state of Maharashtra and beyond. Some of the key aspects of this collaboration include skill development courses, curriculum development and industry-oriented training.

Under this collaboration, MSSU will conduct various skilling courses, including short, medium, and long-term programs, at their Lonavala Campus. The first batch is scheduled to commence in July-August 2023. The courses will run in line with the New Education Policy (NEP). Furthermore, as part of this collaboration NRAI will assist MSSU in developing a practical and relevant course content and curriculum which will be in line with the actual skill requirement of the hospitality industry. The collaboration also entails that NRAI members will provide the students on-the-job training (OJT) and offer employment opportunities to successful students. This collaboration holds the potential for expansion to other regions across the country.

NRAI has also partnered with Kaam.com, an industry specific employment portal, to further enhance the effectiveness and reach of this collaboration.
