Pernod to acquire 90 percent share in ABG Group

The Corby Spirit and Wine division of Pernod Ricard has agreed to pay CA$165 million for a 90 percent share in Ace Beverage Group, which is Canada's leading ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages maker.

Under the terms of the agreement, two call options on the remaining shares in 2025 and 2028 would allow Pernod's Canadian affiliate to acquire complete ownership of ABG.

Following the merger of Cottage Springs which was formed in 2013 and Ace Hill which was launched in 2015, ABG was created in 2020.

With top-selling items like Cottage Springs Vodka Soda, Vodka Water, and Tequila Soda, the company's main Cottage Springs product is the top RTD brand in Ontario.

The arrangement, according to Pernod Ricard, enables Corby to add scale, expertise, agility and efficiencies in the dynamic Canadian RTD category.
