Following rigorous and intense rounds across the nation, Dharambir Chhetri of Copitas Bengaluru was selected as the winner of the Monkey Shoulder’s sixth season of Ultimate Bartender Championship.

The Grand Finale was conducted at Botanix Nature Resort near Damdama lake, in Delhi-NCR, on 15th June.

Brand Ambassador of Monkey Shoulder, Gaurav Sareen helmed the entire process and in the final rounds of the UBC, Gaurav randomly asked to create cocktails to the contestants without any advance notice.

Gaurav Sareen told Spiritz that it was a tightly contested and widely participated competition in which 1100+ bartenders participated online and 800+ showed up in the city rounds, held in eight metros.

Gaurav Sareen said that “in the city rounds, participants were judged on five specific aspects like nosing, trivia rounds, speed round and perfect serve and pouring. It is a long process and participants had to excel in each round.  Finally, 20 were chosen to fight for the finale after rigorous rounds involving strict judging criteria,” he shared.

Six were selected for the final round out of which Dharambir Chhetri was adjudged as the winner by the esteemed judges.

Joe Petch, the Global Brand Ambassador of Monkey Shoulder, Brendon Khoo, the Brand Ambassador of Monkey Shoulder, Singapore, and Christyne Lee, Head Bartender of Tess Bar & Kitchen, Singapore, were the eminent jury members engaged in selecting the winner of this edition of the competition.

Gaurav Sareen informed that the winner got multiple things including Gold plated bartending tools, a special orange colour watch, Monkey Shoulders’s complete set of bottles including Smokey Monkey and Monkey Fresh, which are not launched in India.  The champion also gets countrywide recognition, support from the company and a chance to be in the roster of the brand ambassador.
