Drop in liquor sales in Andhra

As per official data, Andhra Pradesh has seen a decline in the volume of liquor sales since 2018-19.

According to the official figures, sales of liquor in Andhra Pradesh decreased from 384.36 lakh cases during 2018-19 to 335.98 lakh cases during 2022-23. During the same period, beer sales plummeted from 277.16 lakh cases to 116.76 lakh cases.

In terms of percentage, beer and other alcoholic beverages sales in Andhra Pradesh declined by 56.51 and 5.28 percent respectively in the first three months of the current fiscal as compared to the same period during 2018-19.
