Chandigarh acts over non-payment of liquor licence fee

Chandigarh’s Excise and Taxation Department has sealed seven liquor vends for non-payment of licence fee. Three of these licence holders, according to a department official, have already paid the requisite fee since then.

The official explained that it was a standard practice and that the vends would be opened once the fees were received.
