SC reserves its order on Sisodia’s bail plea

Today, the Supreme Court of India denied bail to the former Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister Mainsh Sisodia over irregularities linked to the formulation and execution of Delhi's previously discarded excise policy.

The bench of justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti dismissed bail pleas of Sisodia after hearing the parties’ arguments. While announcing the order, the bench said "A money trail of Rs.336 crore has been established. If the trial is not completed in 6-8 months, Mr Sisodia can apply for bail again."
