THSC invites participation in IndiaSkills competition

Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) is inviting young professionals and students from across the country to partake in IndiaSkills 2023-24. The IndiaSkills 2023-24 program presents exciting opportunities for industry professionals to contribute to the development and recognition of hospitality skills.

An internationally acclaimed event, IndiaSkills serves as the precursor to the prestigious WorldSkills competition. As per the procedure, those who qualify in IndiaSkills at the national level will represent India on the global stage at the forthcoming WorldSkills competition, to be held in Lyon, France in 2024.

The CEO of THSC, Rajan Bahadur underlined THSC’s role and contribution to advance youth’s skill to accelerate the country's growth. Bahadur added, "Our primary role involves organising and conducting all stages of competitions, providing training for each skill, conducting three rounds of pre-selection competitions, and ensuring effective communication with all competitors throughout the events."

THSC's vital responsibilities in the IndiaSkills competitions encompass capacity building, competitor selection, the development of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) for online tests, creating sample test projects for each competition stage, and overseeing infrastructure requirements from the district level to the national level. The judging criteria are based on WorldSkills parameters, and the IndiaSkills competition typically spans three days.
