AP HC reserves verdict on bail plea of Naidu

The Andhra Pradesh High Court reserved its verdict on the anticipatory bail plea of the former Chief Minister of the state, N Chandrababu Naidu, in the liquor policy case. Former Excise Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Kollu Ravindra’s anticipatory bail plea was also considered and the verdict was reserved.

The HC Bench directed the APCID not to initiate any action against Naidu and Ravindra till fresh orders in the liquor policy case are delivered.

Earlier, AP State Beverages Corporation filed a case against Naidu and Ravindra. It was alleged that Naidu and the former minister misused their position to profit from certain distilleries and bars, which caused a huge loss to the state exchequer. Against the case, Naidu and Ravindra filed anticipatory bail petitions separately before the HC.
