Bacardi becomes majority owner of Teeling Irish Whiskey

Bacardi announced that Teeling Irish whiskey will join its portfolio of iconic brands in a number of European markets in 2024. Bacardi bought more shares of Teeling Irish Whiskey, making it the majority owner of the Irish whiskey brand.

Bacardi additionally plans to distribute Teeling in certain European markets. According to a media report, Bacardi intends to give Co-founders Jack and Stephen Teeling charge of day-to-day operations pertaining to the Teeling whiskey and will distribute the Irish whiskey starting in January, in Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Bacardi will distribute Teeling in Sweden and Belgium, starting in February of 2024.
