Court grants interim bail to Sameer Mahendru

A Delhi court has granted two-week interim bail to liquor businessman Sameer Mahendru in a case related to alleged irregularities in the now scrapped Delhi’s excise policy. The court ruled in his application on seeking interim bail on the ground of his wife's health issues.

According to the allegation, Sameer was one of the beneficiaries of the violations of Delhi’s now scrapped excise policy. The prosecution alleged that due to irregularities and violations of the said excise policy, he earned around Rs 50 crore profit.
