ED issues fresh summons to Arvind Kejriwal By Spiritz Desk 01 Feb 2024 in Alert New Update The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has issued fifth summons to Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering probe related to alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 case. The recent summons to Delhi’s CM follows the fourth summons which he did not comply with, terming it as illegal and politically motivated. Delhi CM Kejriwal has so far skipped four earlier summons issued by the ED during the last three months. The ED wants to record his statement pertaining to the above-mentioned case about policy formation, discussions held before the policy was finalised, and bribery charges. The case is based on the CBI’s FIR, which alleges several irregularities in developing and implementing the 2021-22 Delhi excise policy, which was scrapped later. Two prominent AAP leaders, Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh, are already in judicial detention in relation to the case. Subscribe to our Newsletter!
