J&K reports all time high excise revenue By Spiritz Desk 29 Feb 2024 in Alert New Update The Jammu and Kashmir administration has earned an all time high of excise revenue of Rs 2280 crore from its recent auction of liquor shops for the fiscal year 24-25. As per the report, an impressive increase in revenue is linked to the state's initiatives to revamp excise policy, which was implemented three years ago to streamline the auction process and increase revenue generation. In 2020, the excise department accounted the earnings of Rs 1320 crore, followed by Rs 1353 crore in 2021, Rs 1777 crore in 2022, and Rs 1796 crore in 2023, culminating in the all-time high of Rs 2280 crore in 2024.
