ED arrests Arvind Kejriwal

The Enforcement Directorate arrested Delhi's Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal last night after a search and questioning session and took him to the ED office.

Yesterday, the Delhi High Court refused to grant him protection from arrest. Kejriwal's arrest comes less than a week after BRS leader K Kavitha was taken into custody in Delhi's liquor policy case. Kejriwal was named as a conspirator by the ED for the first time following BRS leader K.Kavitha's arrest.

Kejriwal filed a petition before the Supreme Court against the arrest, which is likely to be taken up by the Special Bench of Justices, Sanjiv Khanna, MM Sundresh and Bela Trivedi, who would hear his petition against ED arrest today.
