Whyte & Mackay has collaborated with the Scottish design museum V&A Dundee to release the second chapter of The Dalmore Luminary Series; a range of malt whiskies that brings together the luminaries of whisky creation and architectural design.
The new chapter of The Dalmore Luminary Series features two expressions – The Dalmore Luminary and The Rare 2024 Edition, which will be auctioned in May with proceeds donated to V&A Dundee, and The Dalmore Luminary – The Collectible – 2024 Edition, which will go on sale later this month at select retailers worldwide, including travel retail.
The more widely available Dalmore Luminary – The Collectible – 2024 Edition is a 16-year-old whisky, which is the product of being matured in bourbon casks and then finished in a blend of Graham’s tawny port pipes and Apostoles sherry casks, with a small portion in peated, ex-refill bourbon casks. Restricted to 20,000 sets and priced at £275 each, The Collectible comes in a presentation case.
The first chapter of the Luminary Series saw the Scotch brand collaborate with Kengo Kuma, the Japanese architect who designed the V&A Dundee.
