Globus Spirits enters into a joint venture
India-based distiller Globus Spirits and Caribbean conglomerate Ansa Mcal have struck a deal to set up a beer manufacturing and distribution venture in India.
Globus Ansa Private Limited, a joint venture between Ansa Mcal Limited and Globus Spirits Limited will brew Trinidad and Tobago-based Ansa Mcal beer brand Carib in India. The equally-owned venture aims to manufacture and distribute beer in India, Globus Spirits said in a stock-exchange filing.
In a joint statement issued by Ansa Mcal, Globus Spirits’s MD, Shekhar Swarup commended the collaboration. He added “Globus ANSA Private Limited will specialise in manufacturing and distributing alcoholic beverages across the Indian subcontinent, leveraging the strengths of both Globus Spirits and Ansa Mcal.”
Globus Spirits’ three consumer spirits distilleries are in Rajasthan, West Bengal and Haryana and its business spans from consumer spirits brands products to bioethanol.
