A month of spirited celebration at Heathrow

Heathrow Airport has kicked off its annual Whisky Festival; a month-long extravaganza spanning from April 15th to May 14th. Partnering with World Duty Free, Heathrow is set to host a series of whisky-themed events, which is expected to delight enthusiasts.

This year promises a grand showcase as Heathrow unveils exclusive global product launches and immersive in-store experiences, spotlighting the diverse world of whisky. From rare and vintage bottles to innovative new blends, the festival celebrates the versatility of this beloved spirit.

In 2023, whisky dominated spirits sales at Heathrow, comprising 70 percent of all purchases, with an impressive average of three bottles sold per minute. Topping the list of popular spirits among passengers, whisky is closely followed by gin and cognac. With over 97 of the world’s most coveted whisky brands available, Heathrow has on offer one of the most extensive ranges of whisky in both global travel retail, and in the UK.
