Rajasthan faces shortage of premium liquor brands

Rajasthan has been facing a shortage of supply of premium foreign liquor brands across the state due to the lack of liquor prices revision of the bottled-in-India (BII) liquor category.

State’s excise department's failure to revise the liquor prices is forcing liquor companies to withhold fresh stock, both for bottled-in-India (BII) and bottled-in-origin (BIO). Earlier, liquor companies have submitted proposals for liquor rate revisions in Rajasthan and the state is working on it and the rates of the BIO category in the state are already fixed recently, according to a report.
