Alleged corruption in Karnataka excise dept

The Federation of Wine Merchants’ Association, Karnataka has stated that they would halt liquor sales in Karnataka on 20^th November if the government of Karnataka did not address the issue of rampant corruption within its excise department.

The association also requested the Chief Minister of Karnataka to have a meeting to address its concerns and to bring the excise department under the ambit of the finance department.
