Amendments have been approved by the state Cabinet committee. The amendments mandates specific bars, particularly those in hotels, to stock a minimum of two cases of heritage liquor and list it on their menus. Bars, excluding resorts, that fail to comply will face penalties. The government is expected to issue a formal notification on these changes shortly, as part of its strategy to revive and expand the state's heritage liquor market.
