SC defers Kejriwal's bail plea The Supreme Court has deferred Arvind Kejriwal's bail order to after the Delhi High Court rules on the matter, with the next hearing scheduled for 26th June. This follows Kejriwal's challenge to the High Court's stay on his bail in the liquor policy case. The matter would be next heard on 26th June. Earlier Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal moved the SC against the Delhi High Court's stay on his bail order in the liquor policy case. The HC had directed an interim stay on the trial court order which granted bail to Kejriwal, and HC had adjourned the case till 25th June. The plea argues that the petitioner cannot be denied the due process of law nor false case can be cooked up against him merely because the petitioner is a political figure and opposed to the present dispensation of power in the centre.
