The Supreme Court has deferred Arvind Kejriwal's bail order while stating that let the High Court first come out with the order. The matter would be next heard on 26th June.
Earlier Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal moved the SC against the Delhi High Court's stay on his bail order in the liquor policy case. The HC had directed an interim stay on the trial court order which granted bail to Kejriwal, and HC had adjourned the case till 25th June.
The plea argues that the petitioner cannot be denied the due process of law nor false case can be cooked up against him merely because the petitioner is a political figure and opposed to the present dispensation of power in the centre.
