Telangana clears dues to three liquor firms

Telangana has started to settle some of its Rs. 4,000 crore debt to liquor suppliers by paying Rs. 150 crore to three companies. Despite this, over 200 suppliers are still facing delayed payments, exacerbating liquor shortages throughout the state.

Telangana clears dues to three liquor firms

The Telangana government has cleared partial dues of Rs.150 crore to three liquor companies out of the total Rs. 4,000 crore dues to the companies which supply liquor to Telangana State Beverages Corporation.

More than 200 companies supply liquor to the state-run beverages corporation. While several areas in the state continue to report liquor shortage, the companies supplying liquor to Telangana State Beverages Corporation, want the state government to first clear their long-pending dues.
