The first limited edition of Dōaab India Craft Whisky is inspired by an Indian fable, that of the six blind men and an elephant. “It is a hat tip to all the people who come together to create this unique exploration of six row Indian barley malts in 100 percent ex[1]bourbon barrels,” Shekhar says. In an interpretation of the old Indian fable, this is an ode to the thinkers, creators, tinkerers and makers who bring in their unique perspectives to craft this bottle of single malt. Dōaab India Craft Whisky, says Shekhar, is a contemporary range of limited-edition Indian craft whiskies, born of a spirit of exploration and experimentation. It embodies the essence of true craftsmanship by merging tradition with innovation. What makes it a ‘craft’ whisky is the company’s relentless drive to explore and experiment with unexpected methods of whisky-making. With four generations of experience behind Globus Spirits, dating back to 1958, the company has the expertise and confidence to ensure quality in every bottle. “While rooted in Indian heritage, our whisky has a global outlook, appealing to both traditional connoisseurs and the new generation of whisky enthusiasts by blending time-honoured practices with modern sensibilities,” Shekhar adds. It is therefore positioned as a whisky for those who seek the unexpected and appreciate the art of discovery. In a market filled with choices, the brand differentiates itself by crafting Dōaab India Craft Whisky that is bold enough to challenge conventions while remaining deeply connected to its heritage. It is a celebration of contrasts - melding two perspectives, two influences and two generations to offer a whisky that stands out on the world stage, with a distinctive Indian origin.
