By Spiritz Desk 11 Dec 2024 in State Policy New Update The Andhra Pradesh government has notified rules for establishing premium liquor stores in the state. According to the issued notification, those wishing to set up premium liquor stores need to comply with the Andhra Pradesh Excise Rules, 2024. The state government will now set up an Evolution Committee which will be headed by a retired High Court Judge with a retired IAS officer and a Chartered Accountant as members. The committee will evaluate proposals to assess the business and financial capabilities of applicants, following which, it will recommend for Prior Clearance. The applicants shall then submit Form A3 (PS) and A4 (Premium Store) to the Commissioner of Prohibition & Excise for grant of Shop (Premium Store) Licence within 45 days from the date of grant of Prior Clearance to obtain the licence. The allotted licence will be valid for a period of five years.
