ABD launches ICONiQ Winter whisky

Allied Blenders and Distillers has introduced ICONiQ Winter, a whisky made for winter. This is the ‘first winter special’ whisky from the company that aims to keep the chill at bay.

The blend is curated with select Scotch Malts and Indian Grain Spirits along with spices like cinnamon, ginger, clove, nutmeg, pepper and cardamom, known for adding warmth to the body. This new offering positions to satisfy consumer desire for real warmth in winter with a drink of their choice.

On the launch of the whisky, Arun Barik, Executive Director at ABD commented, “At the ABD Innovation Centre, we’re redefining the winter experience with ICONiQ Winter whisky, crafted to keep whisky aficionados loyal to their preferred spirit even as the season invites a shift to rum.” Arun added, “Our unique balanced fusion of spices not only adds flavour but also inherent benefits. This remarkable blend positions ICONiQ as a compelling winter choice that we believe will attract a segment of consumers eager to explore a bold, innovative twist on whisky.”

Bikram Basu, Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer at ABD, highlighted the insight behind this creation. “In the rapidly evolving spirits landscape, consumers are increasingly open to experimentation and variety. By incorporating chai-inspired spices into our blend, we’re crafting not just a drink but an entirely new experience for whisky lovers,” he said.

The 750 ml bottle will be available in Maharashtra at Rs 680. It will also be available in some markets of north India.
