ABD to expand portfolio with global spirits brands

Allied Blenders & Distillers (ABD) is exploring a strategic partnership with Russian vodka giant Russian Standard, and with Thai Beverage (ThaiBev) from Bangkok, according to recent reports. This potential collaboration could mark a significant shift for ABD, which is predominantly known for its whisky brands.

 If successful, the deal would broaden ABD’s product range to include vodka and Scotch, diversifying its offerings in the Indian market. For Russian Standard and ThaiBev, entering the Indian market through ABD could provide a valuable foothold in one of the world's largest alcohol-consuming countries.

ABD's established distribution and manufacturing capabilities would facilitate a smoother market entry in India for these global brands.
