ICF organises a culinary competition

The Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) organised a vibrant culinary competition as part of the 21st Annual Chef Awards, in celebration of International Chefs’ Day.  Over 150 Chefs participated in the four-day event. Competition was held in11 categories, which highlighted the Chefs' creativity and expertise.

The event began at the Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute, featuring competitions in Master Chef International Cuisine, Butcher, and Kebab on the first day. The second day focused on North Indian Cuisine, Indian Sweets, and regional specialties from East, West, and South India. On the third day, there was competition in Oriental Cuisine, Fruit & Vegetable Carving, and the Student Chef of the Year category. The final day of the competition was held at the Institute of Bakery & Culinary Arts, Vikaspuri, featuring Master Chef Baker and International Confectionery competitions.

A distinguished WACS-certified jury, led by Chef Nimish Bhatia and organised by Chef Rajeev Chopra, assessed the performances. Chef Davinder Kumar, President of ICF, expressed pride in the participants’ dedication, stating that the competition encourages young talent and promotes Indian cuisine on the global stage.

The winners will be honoured at the Grand Chef Awards 2024 ceremony on 17th October at Hotel Ashok, New Delhi, bringing together Chefs, food enthusiasts, and industry leaders to celebrate excellence in culinary arts.
