Suntory has completed the renovation of its Hakushu Japanese whisky distillery, located in Yamanashi prefecture, Japan.

The project, which was part of a broader investment plan announced in February last year, aimed to upgrade two of Suntory's production facilities in Japan. This initiative coincided with the 50th anniversary of the Hakushu brand.

The renovation introduced several key enhancements, including the implementation of floor malting for the Hakushu brand and the commencement of in-house yeast cultivation. In addition to these production improvements, Suntory has also built a new on-site restaurant to enhance the visitor experience. Furthermore, a 'bird bridge' has been constructed, linking the distillery to a nearby bird sanctuary.
