The project is aimed to curb waste and prevent littering in the Nilgiris, as broken glass and plastic waste poses severe risks to the flora and fauna of the hills of the Nilgiris district. In 2022, the Madras High Court backed the scheme and directed Tasmac to implement it in all the districts of Tamil Nadu. This initiative of Tasmac has reported a success rate of over 80 percent.
