AB InBev makes sizeable investment in India

Anheuser-Busch InBev has been investing Rs.5 billion in its India business with the objective to increase its production capacity. The money will be channelised to AB InBev’s brewery in Mysore, Karnataka, where Budweiser Premium, Budweiser Magnum and Hoegaarden beers are being produced. This investment is of course expected to create employment opportunities in the coming years.

Earlier in this year also AB InBev invested in the Indian market when it entered the whiskey category with Budweiser Magnum Double Barrel. AB InBev partnered with Sazerac to produce the whiskey.
