Le Meridien New Delhi brings festivities with community

Le Meridien New Delhi set to offer Christmas vibes as Starry Slopes, the 2022 installation of the Christmas tree in the lobby of the property. Installation unfolds yet another great work of art that is not only an expression of the hotel’s creativity but also is a testimony of its love for the community.

The bespoke bamboo and recycled paper installation celebrates the festivities with the community. The hotel’s continued efforts towards sustainability always ensure to avoid the use of imported plastic decorations and supporting ‘handmade in India’.

The installation has been designed by a young artist, Nehmat Mongia and has been created by bamboo craft artisans from Titarpur, who are adept to work with traditional techniques of bamboo art, in collaboration with blind girls from the National Association for the Blind for Blind Women and Disability Studies. This was a tactile project for them, which encouraged them to develop their skills and build confidence.
