Film tourism in Jammu and Kashmir booms

Jammu and Kashmir is poised to become a top destination for the film industry as the government has identified almost 300 undiscovered locations for film shootings.

This project by the UT’s administration and tourism department aims to highlight the splendour of Jammu and Kashmir, which was previously a popular location for movie production in the 1960s and 1970s.

J&K hopes to entice production companies and filmmakers to shoot their films, web series, and serials in the state with the resurgence of film tourism in the region.
