Yogi hints to ban liquor in Ayodhya

Yogi Adityanath, the CM of Uttar Pradesh, has given hints that alcohol may be outlawed in Ayodhya, the site of the grand Ram Mandir, which would be inaugurated the next year.

He didn't identify any specific actions, but he did emphasise that Ayodhya is a sacred city and that meat and alcohol use shouldn’t be permitted there. He conveyed that during a visit to the holy city that meat and alcohol use should be prohibited in Ayodha, in accordance with the feelings and sentiments of the populace.
