Tomatin introduces limited edition single malt

Tomatin Distillery has released a rare single malt Scotch whisky, Tomatin Single Cask 1993 to mark its 125th Anniversary

The liquid was distilled on 11th of June 1993 and matured in Oloroso Sherry Butt and bottled at natural cask strength.

On the nose, initial sniffs of hessian, furniture wax, and engine oil can be detected. Emerging oloroso sherry aromas deliver a sophisticated blend of fruit and nut flavours, including frangipane, figs, raisins, plums, and pear tarte tatin.

Huge sherry notes, walnut, almond, raisins, and citrus in the shape of tangerine all coat the palate. A wash of toffee, dark chocolate, and European Oak spice follows this. With time, a licorice flavour and a tinge of Assam tea emerge.
