Bushmills releases two single malts in duty free

Bushmills Irish Whisky has announced the release of two rare single malt Irish whiskies; a 15 Year Old and a 21 Year Old single malt, as part of the brand's new 'World Wood' series. The brands are created exclusively for global travel retail.

Bushmills 15 Year Old single malt costs $90 for 700ml and is bottled at an ABV of 46 percent with sweet, nutty, and complex flavour character. It is an amber gold whiskey with enticing aromas of toasted oak, warm caramel, vanilla, and subtle hints of hazelnut. Its taste is an amalgamation of clove, toffee apple, honeyed vanilla, and sweet apricot, with a smooth and gently warming finish.

Bushmills 21 Year Old single malt costs $265 for 700ml and is bottled at an ABV of 46 percent. This single malt is the product of ageing for a minimum of 18 years in bourbon barrels and oloroso sherry butts before being finished for three years in rare first-fill Marsala wine casks from Sicily. Each of these hand-selected barriques has been lightly toasted after being seasoned with Marsala Fine Ambra Semisecco DOC to impart lighter, fruitier notes to the whisky, which complements the Bushmills floral and fruity house style.

These single malts are available in duty-free shops at Dublin Airport, Ireland, and throughout Asia Pacific.
