Delhi requests DMRC to change liquor carrying policy again

The Delhi government has demanded that Delhi Metro Rail Corporation amend its decision to permit passengers from carrying two bottles of alcoholic beverages through metro trains.

In June of this year, the DMRC had allowed passengers to carry two sealed bottles of alcoholic beverages per person on Delhi metro trains, except for the Airport Express Line. The decision was based on the recommendations of a committee which comprised DMRC and CISF officers responsible for metro station's security.
