SC reserves its order on Sisodia’s bail plea

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia has moved a petition before the Supreme Court. In the petition, he seeks a review of the apex court’s order, which denied him bail in the corruption and money laundering cases related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam.

The Supreme Court had on 30th October refused to grant bail to him, saying the accusation against him of facilitating “windfall gains" of Rs 338 crore to wholesale liquor dealers was "tentatively supported" by evidence.

Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on 26th February for his alleged role in the Delhi liquor scam. The AAP leader has been in custody since then. Later, the ED arrested Sisodia in a money-laundering case stemming from the CBI FIR on 9th March after questioning him.
