Swiggy appoints Anand Kripalu as Chairperson of its board

Food delivery start-up Swiggy has appointed Diageo India’s former Managing Director and Chief Executive, Anand Kripalu to its board as an independent Director and Chairperson. His appointment comes after Swiggy had also appointed three independent Directors ahead of its planned IPO in 2024.

Kripalu’s experience from working with large consumer companies such as Unilever, Cadbury Plc, Mondelez and Marico and with spirits maker Diageo is expected to help Swiggy leverage his expertise in the industry.
