Apex court refuses to re-examine Sisodia’s bail order

The Supreme Court of India has refused to re-examine its order in which it had rejected the bail plea of former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP leader Manish Sisodia and disposed of his review petition.

A bench of justices comprising Sanjiv Khanna and S V N Bhatti said in its order passed after in-chamber proceedings, "Prayer for oral hearing of review petitions rejected. We carefully perused review petitions as also the grounds in support thereof. In our opinion, no case for review of the judgment dated 30.10.2023 is made out. The review petitions are, accordingly, dismissed."

Earlier, on 30th October, the SC had rejected bail plea of Sisodia in corruption and money laundering cases related to Delhi’s now scrapped excise policy.
