UAE’s first brewery to open soon

The first brewery in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is set to open following a change in the laws allowing for alcohol production and on-site sale of alco-beverages in the state.

The UAE has granted a license to the restaurant named Craft by Side Hustle to sell beer on tap that is being brewed on the outlet’s premises. Consumers can buy Craft by Side Hustle’s imported beer and spirits in UAE’s liquor stores, but all its packaged alcobev products will still have to be manufactured abroad.

The yet to be opened brewpub will be located at The Galleria Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. The brand has previously sold beers in the UAE and on Etihad Airlines’ flights. The firm’s brewing process had been taking place in the US.
