HC refuses interim relief to Kejriwal

The Enforcement Directorate has issued summons to Delhi's Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal for the fourth time, in a case linked to Delhi's alleged excise policy scam. ED has asked Delhi’s CM to appear before the agency on 18th January.

Fresh summons comes after Delhi's Chief Minister skipped earlier summons to appear before the probe agency on 3rd January for questioning related to the above-mentioned case. He skipped three summons in the past, saying the ED’s summons to him were illegal.

The first summons was issued to him in October last year as part of the ongoing investigation on the case linked to the liquor policy, which the Delhi government withdrew in July 2023 after the policy was tangled with corruption charges.
