Exports of Irish whiskey sharply declined by 14 percent during 2023. This was revealed by Irish government’s food agency, Bord Bia, in its Export Performance and Prospects report. Agency shared that the country’s drinks exports fell by 8 percent to reach €1.8 billion.

Irish whiskey exports, which accounts for 49 percent value share of Irish drinks exports, declined by 14 percent to reach €875 million in 2023. The value of Irish whiskey exports crossed €1bn for the first time in 2022. As per the report, exports of Irish cream liqueurs fell by 9 percent to reach €370m in 2023.
