Six states declare 22nd January as dry day

Ahead of the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya on 22nd January, six states have declared 22nd January a ‘dry day.’ In the recent past, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Chhattisgarh have announced a ban on liquor sales on the day. MP became the sixth state to ban liquor sales within Madhya Pradesh on the occasion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ram temple in Ayodhya.
