SC rejects bail to Sisodia By Spiritz Desk 15 Mar 2024 in Alert New Update The Supreme Court rejected former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's bail plea in a money laundering case linked to Delhi's excise policy scam. Sisodia had filed the Curative plea before the top court in January, after his regular bail plea and also review was dismissed by the Apex court. He is in custody since he was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in February 2023 for his alleged role in the excise policy scam. Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti heard the matter and directed to conclude the trial procedure in the case in six to eight months. The apex court added that if the trial proceeds at a slower pace, Sisodia can re-apply for bail at a later stage. Subscribe to our Newsletter!
